        中国传统建筑的精华在于园林，园林来自山水画。山水画其实是蒙太奇，在二维的画面表达一个连环、不同时空发生的故事，园林就是还原这个故事的空间场景。

        西方传统建筑师、中国的造园者，无不内外兼修，不只建筑，种植、家具、艺术陈设无一遗漏。我们就是这样设计这几套别墅客房，以系统的营造法去规划空间的每一个起承转合，不出房门获林泉之怡。

        从户外踏进户内，竟然又一个小园呈现面前，阳光从天窗洒落，疏影婆娑，树下小墩，坐下换棉鞋，才进屋。换鞋时抬头看，左右各有小窗，又看到另一小园，有一棵朽木冒着绿芽，那是哪里啊？不禁问。

        绕过衣帽间，又见一园，依然有天光，然而这次的光犹如峡谷的光，细长悠远的，地面依稀有水影，踏过去，不湿鞋，就到了淋浴的地方。

        In building a garden, Chinese garden architects transform the two-dimensional montage of scenes in a landscape painting into its counterpart in three-dimensional space. In the architectural system of a garden, pavilion, platform, building represent different scales of space. The importance lies, not in their shapes, but in the function of montaging "story scenes". We then begin to test "building within a building".

        Chinese garden architects treat inside of a building as important as its outside, and there is no negligence upon planting, furniture and artistic furnishings. This is how we design these villas rooms, with the system building method to plan every space in the space.

        Stepping into the room, one will find a smaller garden in front of him, with sunshine dappling on the floor from the skylight. Sitting down on a small stump to have one’s shoes changed, one then discover another garden through the small windows on the left and the right: a rotten wood sprouting green buds. “Where is that?” One can't help wondering.

        As walking around the cloakroom, one steps into another garden where threads of sunlight are shimmering like the light in the canyon, long and distant. Following the light, one comes to the shower.
